Austin is an SFF writer with a background in cultural anthropology. His fiction is featured in Electric Spec, White Cat Publications, Crimson Quill Quarterly, and All Worlds Wayfarer.

He is the author of an unpublished urban fantasy novel about a flying city and a young woman who dives through storms to harvest the energy it depends on. Energy that’s running out.

Currently, he is also deep in the research stage for his next novel: a sweeping epic fantasy inspired by Meiji era Japan that features gods and warring factions caught in the turmoil of a rapidly modernizing world.

When he’s not reading or writing he likes to hike, play video games, watch anime, and battle existential dread. He also enjoys exploring the many hidden gems that can be found in Japan, where he lives.
